3rd Sunday monthly Vancouver Art Gallery - drop in. age 12 & under FREE - suggested materials donation: $2
On the third Sunday of each month, the Gallery is transformed into a fun-filled place for families with children (12 and under) to learn about art together. Staff and volunteers show visitors how to use the many hands-on activity areas, where children and adults are invited to draw, paint and create crazy art projects, and to watch and engage in dance performances. There are many great ideas for kids, family and tourist activities at supersunday.

Anyway, funny little thing. Just wanted to share that chance encounter!
You can weekend all day park in the Law Court Parking Lot - you enter off Howe Street on the right hand side, and then travel underground as far north as you can go. The elevator there takes you right to the Hornby (west entrance) to the VAG.
Activities run a three month cycle, and Cara says check out the weaving next time. Tien really likes the self portraits. Also Kathryn Rickett's dance thing is neat.
